Metaspec manufactures test specimens required by military specification MIL-PRF-46170, which covers a thermally stable, corrosion inhibited, fire resistant hydraulic fluid. This hydraulic fluid is intended for use in military ground equipment, specifically in recoil mechanisms and hydraulic systems. The hydraulic fluid is rust inhibited and may be used in as a preservative medium for hydraulic systems and components. This fluid is adopted for military use by NATO countries and is identified by Military Symbol FRH and NATO Code No. H-544.
