A36 mild steel (also known as low carbon steel) test panels are used in various test methods and procedures, including materials compatibility and corrosion testing. Metaspec makes A36 steel test panels, coupons, and specimens in a wide range of sizes and gauge thicknesses. Some common sizes include 1" x 2", 3" x 6", and 3" x 10". These test panels may be polished, sanded, sand-blasted, or have an as rolled surface finish. Additional customization is available on request.
