ASTM C719 Hockman Cycle Test Specimens

Mortar, metal and glass test specimens (also called substrates) used in ASTM C719 (Adhesion and Cohesion of Elastomeric Joint Sealants Under Cyclic Movement - Hockman Cycle). The test specimens or test plates are 1" x 3" x 1/4" and may be made from clear float glass or from 6061-T6 aluminum anodized in accordance with AA-M10C22A31 (medium matte clear coating 0.4 - 0.7 mil thick). This test also uses mortar (also called cement) block specimens that are 1" x 1" x 3". ASTM C719 uses three test specimen assemblies for each sealant being tested.
