ASTM D2070 Test Specimens

Metal test specimens used in ASTM D2070 (Thermal Stability of Hydraulic Oils). Two different metals are used: 99.9% copper and AISI W1 1% carbon steel. Each test specimen is 3" long and 1/4" in diameter. The test specimens are cleaned and polished per ASTM D2070. These test specimens are sometimes referred to as iron and copper catalyst rods. 
Customized test specimens for modified versions of this test method are available on request.
