ASTM D2339 Test Specimens

Wood test specimens used in testing adhesives by ASTM D2339 (Strength Properties of Adhesives in Two-Ply Wood Construction in Shear by Tension Loading). The test specimens are cut from 1/16" thick panels of sweet birch or yellow birch. Each test specimen is 1"x 4".  ASTM D2339 requires 30 test specimens cut from three different wood panels. Other wood materials and thicknesses can be used.
