ASTM D4871 Catalyst Specimens

Washer-type metal catalyst specimens used in ASTM D4871 (Universal Oxidation/Thermal Stability Test Apparatus). This test measures the thermal stability of liquids in the presence of air, oxygen, nitrogen, or other gases at high temperatures. These washer-type catalyst specimens can be made of several different metals, depending on the test fluid end application. Copper and steel wire catalyst coils may also be used.
