ASTM D7548 Corrosion Test Rod

Steel corrosion test rods used in ASTM D7548 (Accelerated Iron Corrosion in Petroleum Products). The test rod (sometimes called a spindle or a bullet) is submerged in the fuel sample and stirred under controlled test conditions. Each test rod is 3.19-inches long and 0.5-inch in diameter, with a polished surface finish per ASTM D7548.
 
The specimen is available with a 1/4-20 or M6-1.0 thread. These corrosion test rods are very similar to the corrosion test rods used in ASTM D665 / NACE TM 0172. Customized test specimens are available on request - please contact us to learn more.
