ASTM D903 Test Specimen

Test specimens used in ASTM D903 (Peel or Stripping Strength of Adhesive Bonds). Each test specimen consists of two pieces of flexible material (1" x 12" and 1" x 8") bonded for 6" at one end. The test requires ten specimens for each tested adhesive. The test material depends on the end-use application, but this method can be used for metals and plastics (1/16" thick), wood (1/8" thick), rubber (0.075" thick), and cotton duck canvas.
