ASTM F482 Corrosion Test Specimens

Test specimens used in ASTM F482 (Corrosion of Aircraft Metals by Total Immersion in Maintenance Chemicals). This test uses five test specimens of the same alloy (from the same sheet stock). Each specimen measures 2" x 1" x 0.06" and has a 1/8" (0.125") mounting hole at one end. Four specimens are used in the immersion test, and then are compared the fifth specimen after testing. Metaspec makes ASTM F482 test specimens in different metals and alloys, including aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, brass, and bronze.
