ASTM G184 Corrosion Coupons

Corrosion coupons (also called test specimens) used in ASTM G184 (Evaluating and Qualifying Oil Field and Refinery Corrosion Inhibitors Using Rotating Cage). These test coupons are often made from carbon steel, but can be made from various materials depending on the corrosion inhibitor being tested. The test uses eight coupons that fit into a rotating cage (RC). Each test coupon is 19 mm x 75 mm x 3 mm (0.75" x 2.95" x 0.118"), and has a ground surface finish.
