ASTM G30 U-Bend Specimen

U-bend stress-corrosion test specimens described in ASTM G30 (Making and Using U-Bend Stress-Corrosion Test Specimens). These U-bend specimens can be made from a wide variety of metal alloys, including aluminum, steel, stainless steel, brass, bronze, nickel, magnesium, titanium, and more. The U-bend specimen is a rectangular strip which is bent 180° around a predetermined radius and then maintained in this constant strain condition during the stress-corrosion test. U-bend specimens can be modified depending on the conditions and requirements of specific test methods.
