ASTM G38 C-Ring Test Specimens

C-ring stress-corrosion test specimens as described in ASTM G38 (Making and Using C-Ring Stress-Corrosion Test Specimens). C-ring test specimens are used to measure the stress-corrosion cracking susceptibility of all types of alloys, particularly steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. ASTM G38 C-ring specimens can be notched or un-notched, and are available with or without the hardware used to stress the specimens.
