ASTM G76 Test Specimens

Test specimens used in ASTM G76 (Conducting Erosion Tests by Solid Particle Impingement Using Gas Jets). These specimens can be made from a variety of different materials, depending on the end-use material being evaluated. The standard test specimen (or test strip) size is 10mm x 30mm x 2mm (0.39" x 1.18" x 0.079"). The test specimen is polished to 400 grit (40 micro-inch surface roughness). Modified test specimens for customized versions of this test method are available on request.
