Boeing BSS7219 Intergranular Attack (IGA) Test Specimens

Metaspec makes aluminum test specimens used in Boeing BSS7219 Intergranular Attack (IGA) corrosion testing. These specimens come in two sizes (1" x 1" x 1/4" and 1" x 1.5" x 1/4") and are usually made from 2024 or 7075 aluminum. One end of the IGA test specimen is polished to 32 RA or finer. A scribe line marks the grain direction on one face of the test specimen. Customized test specimens are available on request.
