ISO 7120 Corrosion Test Specimen

Steel test specimens used in ISO 7120 rust-preventing characteristics of petroleum products and lubricants in the presence of water testing; also called a corrosion protection test. The test procedure involves stirring the sample of mineral oil with the steel rod specimen. The test rod is cylindrical with a tapered end and threaded plug that attaches to the test rod assembly. Compare to ASTM D665.
