ISO 9227 Salt Spray Test Panels

Steel test panels used in the neutral salt spray (NSS) test, acetic acid salt spray (AASS) test, and the copper-accelerated acetic acid salt spray (CASS) test outlined in ISO 9227. The test panels (also called reference specimens or mass loss panels) are 2.75" x 5.9" x 0.04" (70 mm x 150 mm x 1 mm). These test panels are made from CR4 (1008/1010) low carbon steel, and have a smooth as-rolled surface finish.
