MIL-DTL-17111 §4.5.3.4.2 Copper Coils

Copper coils used in testing by military specification MIL-DTL-17111 §4.5.3.4.2 (Corrosion & Oxidation - 72 hour test). This test requires two copper coils of 12-16 gauge wire with slightly different diameters. The coils are polished per MIL-DTL-17111. The two coils are inserted in a test tube (one coil inside the other) and then immersed in the hydraulic fluid for testing. Customized test specimens for modified versions of this test method are available on request.
