MIL-PRF-81309 §4.5 Test Panels & Disk Specimens

Test panels and disk specimens used in testing corrosion preventive compounds for conformance to MIL-PRF-81309. These specimens are described in MIL-PRF-81309 §4.5, and are used in test methods described in the specification, including the acid salt fog, film thickness, and neutral salt spray tests. The test panels are 2024-T3 aluminum, 2" x 4" x 1/8", and are polished one side with 240 grit AO. The disk specimens are SAE 1020 steel, 2.125" diameter x 1/8" thick with a hanging hole, and are ground and polished one side with 240 grit AO.
