SAE AMS2417 §4.3.3 Test Specimens

Separate test specimens used in quality testing by SAE AMS2417 (Zinc-Nickel Alloy Plating). These separate test specimens (or test strips) are used in plating quality testing when the plated parts are of a shape, size, or form that doesn't allow testing per the methods outlined SAE AMS2417. Each specimen is 1" x 4" x 0.040". The test strips are made from the same metal as the plated parts or from low carbon steel.
