USDA Forest Service 5100-304c §6 Stability Coupons

Metaspec makes test coupons used in conformance and qualification testing. The US Department of Agriculture Forest Service Specification 5100-304c (Long-Term Retardant, Wildland Firefighting) defines three standard stability and corrosion test coupons in Section 6. The coupons are described as Large Stability Coupons (2" x 12" x 1/8", made of mild steel or 2024-T3 aluminum), Small Stability Coupons (1" x 1" x 1/8", made of mild steel or 2024-T3 aluminum), and Corrosion Coupons (1" x 4" x 1/8", made of various alloys - see USDA WFC STP 5.1 for Uniform Corrosion test coupons).
